In mid-August after our stay in the mountains of Pilat near St. Etienne we ended the mapping session moving up to the north near Loire valley, where we made a school training map in the woods around old French Renaissance chateau. We were introduced to the owner to achieve entry permission to sheep pastures all around the map. The beautiful oak forest was soon replaced the classic din, but remained nice memories for three days of intensive surveying on French countryside, night drawing and drinking box of truth.
