About me
My first touch with orienteering came when I was nine. In 1992 I have made my first map. Since 1999 I have been creating maps for orienteering on a professional level. I still enjoy mapping, and even though it seems that with all current quality data and the transition to digital mapping, there will be nothing to deal with, this is not the case. Experience, patience and diligence stay useful and there is still space for improvement, such as readability. A good map is not easy to create even with the help of current technologies, and the mapper thus remains an important interpreter and mediator.
